Dean O. Berlon
Mr. Berlon graduated from The Ohio State University in 1987 with a BS in Architecture, cum laude. Part of his education included a summer program in England where he learned techniques of preservation of historic buildings through Oxford University. He has been a Registered Architect in the State of Ohio since 1992.
From 1987 to 1991 he worked at George Parker & Associates, an Architectural and Development Company that bought land, subdivided it, created design guidelines and designed homes.
From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Berlon worked at Stock & Stone Architects, an Architectural Design firm in Columbus. The firm specialized in the design and construction supervision of new homes, renovations and additions. Projects include a national competition winner for site plan design of a cluster-housing site in New Albany, Ohio.
Mr. Berlon is past President of the Short North Business Association and past Chair of its Development Committee. He was involved in the Italian Village Society over the years as President, Chair of its Historic Preservation Committee and Editor of its Newsletter. He was appointed to the City of Columbus Advisory Panel for redevelopment of the Whittier Peninsula into a downtown park and is currently a judge for the annual Philadelphia Flower Show.
